L.J. Nightingale

L.J. Nightingale is a passionate storyteller and believes that compassion is the greatest tool an individual can have in their back pocket. A self-described open book, L.J. is anything but shy when it comes to her struggles, successes, and sharing stories that uplift herself and others around her. Surrounded by a family of hardworkers and creativity, it’s no surprise that L.J. would harness those superpowers and build beautiful worlds and compelling stories.

Outside of writing, L.J. can be found spending time with her partner and her cat, Polly. She enjoys acting, thrifting, karaoke, antiquing, drawing, listening to Taylor Swift's music, and all things cats! L.J. Nightingale holds a Bachelors in Theatre Arts Performance with minors in Creative Writing and History from SUNY New Paltz, as well as a Masters in Public History from the University at Albany.

Her debut novel, DRAWN, is a story that combines historical romance, queer fiction, and science fiction in a unique, captivating voice. A story that is reminiscent of The Catcher in the Rye and Fellow Travelers, you’re certain to find yourself immersed in the story, reaching the last page and begging for more.
